From CoMetta's Stories of Us: Greensboro's Deep Roots of Cooperation

Greensboro has a deep history of cooperative efforts that advance social justice and the greater good. These extend from our Quaker roots and the Underground Railroad to present-day efforts supporting refugees and nurturing community gardens, food coops, and people’s markets.
