Our Community Room is an ideal space for office meetings, book clubs, cooking classes, movie screenings, support groups, wellness talks, and more! The room is set up in a boardroom layout with 10 rolling chairs, but can accommodate seating for up to 25 with the tables removed. The room is equipped with a smart TV which can be connected to a computer using an HDMI connection. Click here to view a picture of the room in its default configuration. The cost to book is $5/hour. This administration fee is non-refundable and must be paid by credit card at the time of booking using the online scheduling tool.
Community Room Guidelines
Deep Roots Market is pleased to provide this space as a service to our community. We ask that you carefully review and abide by the following guidelines and treat this space with respect. Thank you for your cooperation!
- A nominal fee of $5.00 per hour will be assessed at the time of booking. This fee covers the cost of booking administration and is non-refundable even if a meeting or event is canceled.
- We are happy to cater your meeting or event (see our Catering Menu) or you are welcome to purchase items from our store. Any food or beverage items being consumed in the Community Room must be from Deep Roots Market. No outside items such as fast food or outside catering services are permitted.
- The Community Room may not be used for the promotion or sale of any products or services unless pre-approved by management.
- Any event with an admission fee must be pre-approved by management and must offer discounted admission for Co-op Owners.
- The Community Room may not be used for events that are in violation of our co-operative principles and values, store quality standards, or that fail to meet other criteria as determined by management upon review.
- Users are solely responsible for the setup and cleanup of the Community Room for their individual event – this includes the setup of any A/V equipment. Following an event, the room must be cleaned up, all trash properly disposed of, and all tables and chairs returned to their original configuration. Co-op staff members are not available to assist with these duties.
- The temperature in the Community Room is centrally controlled and may not be adjusted.
- We are not responsible for lost items or items left behind following an event.
- We are not responsible for the marketing or promotion of events taking place in the Community Room, with the exception of store-sponsored events.
- We reserve the right to reschedule reservations if a reservation conflicts with a store-sponsored event or store operational need.
- We reserve the right to deny use of the Community Room to any group or individual for any reason deemed appropriate by management.
- The views and/or opinions expressed by those using the Community Room are not necessarily those of the directors, management, staff, owners, guests, or vendors of Deep Roots Market.
